The Autumn season welcomes to our tables an abundance of garden favorites with one of those being golden orange carrots. As our weather cools off and the holidays are around the corner, many are drawn to the comfort of warming spices and sweet delights. The Carrot Cake Protein Smoothie is a perfect nourishing food for on the go that offers sweet satisfaction with smart nutrition.
Check out some of the health benefits of fresh carrot juice, the star ingredient: cleanses and help restore the liver, is one of the richest sources of Vitamin A beneficial to vision, the beta-carotene in carrots gives our skin a warm glow and is a major antioxidant that helps to maintain epithelial tissue surrounding internal organs, carrots are rich in poly-acetylene anti-oxidant falcarinol, shown to destroy pre-cancerous cells.
Combined with a dairy milk alternative, an alkalizing plant based protein powder, a frozen banana for a creamy rich texture and a dash of cinnamon or a swirl of cinnamon oil for warmth and blood sugar balancing, this golden concoction is an Fall Fitness Superstar!
Carrot Cake Protein Smoothie Ingredients
- Produce - 1 peeled and frozen organic banana
- Refrigerated - 3/4 cup - Vanilla Hemp, Coconut or Almond unsweetened milk
1/2 cup of fresh organic carrot juice (the juice is sweeter if the carrots are peeled)
- Canned Goods - 1 scoop - Vanilla Plant Based Protein Powder
- Oils & Spices - 1 Tsp Coconut oil, 1/2 Tsp or Cinnamon powder or a toothpick swirl of DoTerra Cinnamon oil (If you want to know where to get DoTerra Cinnamon oil, email us)
- Optional - 4- 5 ice cubes can be added for a more frosty shake texture
